Over two decades and counting running these Montana rivers, Outfitter Jed Fitzpatrick has traveled the waters of Montana extensively guiding anglers into prime fishing and instructing the fine art of fly fishing since 1998.  With a true passion for casting the dry fly, Jed brings a simple yet fundamental approach to casting techniques and overall enjoyment to fly fishing. Keep it simple, fun, positive. Having fly fished throughout Alaska, Canada, the Pacific Northwest, Florida, Bahamas, Costa Rica and Panama for everthing from tarpon to largemouths, these journeys all began on a Montana trout stream.

Knowledgeable, hard working, solid. Chad Williams anchors Bitterroot River Guides with dependable river skills and fish savvy; as adept guiding out of the boat or on wade excursions.  Head coach of Hamilton High School wrestling and also a Montana history teacher, Chad naturally instructs fly fishing with eager style, as well as he can straight get after a set of oars, putting anglers on good water and holding them there for those tricky drifts.  From coaxing out the young man hiding in that fourteen year old kid, to helping Pops dial in his backcast, Chad’s lessons on the water carry on well beyond your guided trip.

Adding new guides to our fold is serious business, something we don't take lightly at Bitterroot River Guides.  Our vetting process is exhaustive and thorough: new guides interview with our entire team on the water for multiple trips over a full season. Proving himself above and beyond, Jordan comes to us a die hard angler, born instructor with an excellent sense of humor and spirit, and a superb oarsman and river runner. A former Army Green Beret to boot, his life experiences translate perfectly into what we expect from our top tier guides. And this is our newest member to that select group.
