These cabins and motel, plus flyshop and shuttles, are located just out of Wolf Creek and about three miles from the boat ramp at Wolf Creek bridge. Nice clean rooms, quiet and peaceful with convenient front decks for hanging waders and after-fishing cocktails. Frenchy’s saloon and the Oasis bar are nearby for 7 AM breakfast.
7R Guest Ranch
(406) 235-4207 7R Guest Ranch
Fifteen scenic minutes from the Wolf Creek put-in and sitting on Little Wolf Creek, this family owned guest ranch is a perfect stay for fishing the Mo. Clean affordable rooms, dining, spacious lawn areas, and even horseback and wagon rides. A great place to stay.
Prewett Creek Inn

Not actually in Wolf Creek, but I wanted this one at the top of the page. Picturesque setting near the famous Hardy bridge, this inn has nice rooms and a cottage, affordable rates, a fly shop, and plenty of elbow room. If we are fishing the lower river, like in the fall, this is a great choice.
Simple, cheap, convenient, and in serious need of a paint job. We’ve stayed at Frenchy’s plenty of nights for a warm bed and a roof, and sometimes the hot water even works! That’s all a hardened angler needs, right?
Craig Trout Camp
Operated by Headhunters flyshop, these cabins are spread about the area from right in town on the river, to deep down canyon away from the bustle of Craig. These are some of the nicest, yet expensive, accommodations on the Mo; a good option for groups looking to split costs.
The Trout Shop

Perfectly triangulated between Joe’s bar, Issac’s restaurant, and the Craig boat ramp, the Trout Shop lodge is a perfect place to home base a trip to the Missouri. Right in town, which is near everything,

Once again, right in Craig near everything. From nice rooms at the flyshop in town, to cabins on the river, to full on luxury homes situated throughout the area; lots of options available.

Downstream of Craig about thirty minutes north on Highway 15, Cascade is a good place to stay to save some money on lodging and if everything is booked up in Craig and Wolf Creek. Simple, affordable, small town Montana motel.

Same as the last place: small town, straight forward.
About 45 minutes south of Wolf Creek is our state capital, Helena. If you need to be in a real town, or if everything is booked up on the river, this is your place. A beautiful city with plenty of amenities and a historic downtown called Last Chance Gulch, you should be able to find a place to your liking here. Coffee shops, hip stores, breweries, and even The Home Depot and Lowe’s, Helena is less than an hour away from epic fishing.
